Creator Disclosure Guide

Practical draft guidance for making the relationship with BlueKiwi clear whenever a partner posts, reviews, recommends, or advertises the product.

1. Disclose every material relationship

Clearly disclose when you may earn commission, receive a creator fee, receive product credits, get free access, or have another relationship that could affect how an audience evaluates your recommendation.

2. Put the disclosure where people will notice it

Place the disclosure with the endorsement—not behind a profile link, buried after “more,” hidden among hashtags, or separated from the claim. For video, make the disclosure visible on screen and clear in the spoken or written presentation when appropriate.

3. Use plain language

Good starting points include “BlueKiwi partner,” “Paid partnership with BlueKiwi,” “I may earn commission if you sign up through my link,” or “BlueKiwi gave me credits to test the product.” Adapt the wording to the platform and your actual relationship.

4. Platform tools are additional—not automatic

Use a platform's paid-partnership or branded-content tools when required, but do not assume the tool alone makes the relationship clear. Include an understandable disclosure in the content or caption as well.

5. Share only honest, supportable claims

Speak from your real experience. Do not claim results you did not achieve, guarantee income or performance, invent customer outcomes, omit important limitations, or use outdated product, price, privacy, or security claims. Use the current claims and red lines in your partner content kit.

6. Keep proof and follow local rules

Save the accepted brief, final post, disclosure, approval, and material edits. Laws and platform rules vary by country and channel. This guide is a program starting point, not legal advice, and partners remain responsible for rules that apply to their content.

7. Official starting points

Review the guidance that applies to your audience and location: US Federal Trade Commission, Australian Competition & Consumer Commission, UK Advertising Standards Authority, and the European Commission Influencer Legal Hub.
